Thursday night, Verde Valley Fire responded to a report of a house fire in the 700 block of Desert Jewel Drive in the Verde Villages. Acting Battalion Chief Philip Graham says crews were originally dispatched to the report of a vehicle, trailer, and possibly a house on fire. Upon arrival, crews deployed hand lines to the vehicle in order to control the fire’s spread. The fire was contained to just the vehicle and trailer with minimal heat damage to the home. Graham says no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
