Two sets of hikers rescued after they either didn’t have or ran out of water

Saturday afternoon, Prescott Fire received two simultaneous 911 calls regarding groups of people that needed help at Watson Lake. Spokesman Conrad Jackson says the first call involved 2-women who decided to hike without any water. The department’s boat was used to rescue the women. The second call also involved two women who had set out on their hike, but without adequate water. The women stayed in the shade until fire personnel arrived and escorted them to their vehicle. June is the hottest month of the year and the public is reminded to take plenty of water with them if they’re going to be outside.
