The Coconino National Forest will implement Stage-2 fire restrictions for the Red Rock Ranger District on Wednesday. Restrictions include no fires, campfires, charcoal, coal, and wood stoves. Smoking, welding, or operating equipment with an open flame is prohibited. Chainsaws or any other equipment powered by an internal combustion engine are also prohibited. The rest of the forest will continue to be under modified Stage-1 restrictions, which restricts campfires and grills that burn combustible material such as wood and charcoal.
