Prescott National Forest will implement Stage-2 fire restrictions on Wednesday. Igniting, building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, or stove fire are prohibited. Smoking is prohibited unless within an enclosed vehicle or building. Welding or operating equipment with an open flame is prohibited. Operating a chainsaw or other equipment operated by an internal combustion engine is prohibited. There is no discharging of firearms, air rifles, or gas guns, unless engaged in a lawful hunt.
