Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot to begin recreational access

Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monuments are increasing recreational access to trails and outdoor spaces. Starting Friday, outside trails and picnic areas will be reopened at both monuments. The visitor center, park stores, museums, restrooms, and the Montezuma Well will remain closed. Both monuments are observing Stage-2 restrictions which includes a ban on campfires, and the use of charcoal or briquettes. While these areas are accessible for visitors to enjoy, a return to full operations will continue to be phased and services may be limited.
