Drugs, weapons, and high speed chase on Highway-66 lands man in prison

Yavapai County Attorney Sheila Polk says 31-year old Cody Stangl of Phoenix was sentenced to 3-years in prison after he plead guilty to misconduct involving weapons, forgery, possession of dangerous drugs, and unlawful flight from law enforcement. Back in March, Stangl attempted to evade police custody on Route-66 east of Seligman after he pulled over to the side of the road. After a short pursuit, YCSO deputies found stolen firearms, multiple drugs, a card reader, credit card blanks, and two forged Colorado drivers’ licenses. Stangl also had two felony warrants out of Maricopa County.
