Manzanita Outreach expands food sharing services

Manzanita Outreach has made wholesale changes to their operations in order to meet the growing demand for food assistance within the Verde Valley. Executive Director Mike Newcomb says the organization is on pace to share food with over 3,500 families in April. He says they offer services like a weekly drive-thru Food Sharing event, home delivery of food boxes, and MOhelp; a services where residents can discover where and when food assistance is provided in a drive-thru manner throughout the Verde Valley. Newcomb says Food Sharing events occur every Friday from 5-pm-7-pm and Saturday morning from 9-am-12-pm in the parking lot of Verde Valley Christian Church in Cottonwood.
