Governor meets with electric companies to make sure everyone’s power stays on

(Governor meets with power companies to keep the lights on)—3/26/20 Governor Doug Ducey announced a cooperative agreement with the state’s largest electric utilities to continue to provide power to homes, hospitals, and businesses while making sure that residents facing financial difficulties will have choice, assistance, and access to electricity. Under the agreement, APS, SRP, Tucson Electric Power and six electric cooperatives have all agreed to not shut off power to homes that can’t pay, to waive all penalties, late fees or interest during this time and work with customers to provide flexible options for payment, as well as guidance and choice of rate and payment plans. More information on how to receive utility assistance is available on ArizonaTogether.org.
