Community Health Center of Yavapai running low on PPE supplies

Community Health Center of Yavapai or CHCY is requesting Personal Protective Equipment or PPE for their healthcare staff. CHCY is operating triage, testing, and care for patients and has high need for PPE that is currently in short supply. Items requested include: masks, gowns, eye protection and gloves. Supplies can be dropped off from 7-am to 6-pm, Monday through Friday, at their Prescott location on Commerce Drive. The items will be used directly by CHCY staff who is working on the front lines conducting testing for COVID-19. Contact Daniel Gennaro via phone at 928-442-5612 or email [email protected] to arrange for pick up.

CHCY is also urging community members to sew homemade masks if they have the ability. Several local residents and community groups across the country have answered the call by sewing masks for healthcare professionals. A quick web-search will have dozens of how-to’s.

  1. A good source of masks, gowns, etc would be to contact your local Veterinarian offices/hospitals to ask for equipment donations from them, as people’s lives are first.
