A former NAU student is in jail awaiting his upcoming sentencing in a 2015 shooting in which another student was killed and three others wounded. Charges against Steven Jones originally included 1-st degree murder but he ended up pleading guilty January 9-th to manslaughter in 20-year old Colin Brough’s death and to 3-counts of aggravated assault. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say Jones reported to the jail Friday night. The 23-year old’s sentencing hearing is scheduled February 11-th, but Superior Court Judge Dan Slayton gave Jones a week before ordering him to report to jail after he pleaded guilty.
