Prescott man charged with drug dealing

In recent months, PANT detectives developed information that 54-year old Kenneth Hudson from Prescott was transporting and selling illicit drugs. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says Hudson’s vehicle was stopped on Highway-69 at which time Hudson and a second male subject were detained. Inside the vehicle, detectives found drug packaging material. Due to the low vehicle height, it could not be searched completely and was transported to the Sheriff’s evidence facility. Detectives had developed information that Hudson and the driver were returning from Phoenix and likely transporting contraband. Both were caught in several lies during interviews. Hudson was asked if he was concealing drugs on or in his body and he failed to answer. At the jail a search warrant was obtained to conduct a body scan of Hudson. Hudson eventually reached into his pants and retrieved a half-ounce of heroine.
