Friday from Noon to 1:30, Yavapai College students will present “Smart Cities” research findings to Prescott and college officials. The presentation will be made at the Yavapai College Prescott Campus library. Students delved into the characteristics of a “Smart City,” examined the City of Prescott’s current technological resources and have developed some ideas about gaps and how to fill them. The goal of the class project is to give the City some guidance for using the city’s resources more wisely and providing better service to residents with the help of the right technology. The class also is researching and will be making “Smart Cities” presentations to Chino and Prescott Valley later this semester.
