8 arrested during search warrant at Bridgeport home

Several law enforcement agencies including YCSO and PANT worked together to serve a search warrant at a home in the 3000 block of East Highway-89-A in Bridgeport. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says this occurred on the morning of Halloween. PANT received information about an illegal marijuana grow operation at the house. He says as they approached the house one suspect fled the property and was not caught. D’Evelyn says a total of 8 people were arrested, including 41-year old Travis Mcafee. Mcafee was contacted in August about the illegal marijuana grow and was given the chance to destroy it or get the proper licensing; he did neither. Inside the home, detectives seized guns, marijuana, heroin, meth and numerous forms of drug paraphernalia.
