Navajo County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mogollon High School teacher after an allegation from a student that she was in an inappropriate relationship with a minor back in early September. After a six-week investigation 36-year old Melinda Porter was arrested on charges of furnishing harmful items to a minor, aggravated assault to a minor, and kidnapping. Porter was booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook. Officials will review the case and may file formal criminal charges against Porter if deemed necessary.
