Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest Officials says they are burning slash piles through Friday. The ignition areas are within the Lakeside Ranger District and smoke is anticipated throughout the area and may be visible from Show Low, Vernon and Pinetop-Lakeside. Forest visitors are asked to use caution when traveling in the area of the pile burns as smoke may reduce visibility.
