Saturday night, YCSO responded to a shots fired call in Black Canyon City. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says deputies arrived to find an intoxicated 69-year old Dennis Lintz sitting in the passenger side of his van. Deputies directed Lintz to show his hands and step out of the van. Lintz did not comply. Deputies noted he appeared very intoxicated and was slurring his words. During contact with Lintz while still seated inside the van, deputies saw a firearm by his feet. The deputies physically ushered him out of the vehicle as Lintz claimed he had done nothing wrong and would not comment further. Inside the van, 2-drug pipes with methamphetamine residue were recovered; the gun and shell casings were also taken as evidence. D’Evelyn says deputies also found two bullet holes in the side of Lintz’ home.
