Apache Sitgreaves National Forest Officials say the Telephone Fire has increased in size. The lightning caused fire located in the Lake Mountain Area that started on Wednesday has now grown to 700 acres. Fire managers are working to preserve important historic sites that include the Lake Mountain Look out and a historic corral. Fire managers are monitoring the smoke and making efforts to minimize the smoke impacts as much as possible. The public should use caution when driving in the area due to dusty conditions and fire traffic.
