April was drier and warmer than normal

The National Weather Service released the weather report for April. Officials say overall the month of April was drier and warmer than normal with the majority of passing storms systems only bringing wind. Much of the rain that did fall last month was from Monday’s storm. Flagstaff, Show Low, Seligman, Jerome, Williams and Page all recorded over a half-inch of precipitation. April 9-th was the windiest day with the top wind gust of 61-mph recorded in Four Springs. Prescott and Flagstaff recorded gusts over 50-mph and many other spots including Clarkdale had wind gusts above 40-mph.
