Yavapai Silent Witness tip results in wanted felon’s capture.

Recently, Yavapai County Silent Witness included 35 year-old, Daniel Sanchez Martinez in their Catch 22 program which ultimately resulted in his arrest Tuesday. Cottonwood Police Sgt. Monica Kuhlt says Martinez had been on the run since 2012, but a tip from the public helped Cottonwood Police and PANT detectives apprehend him. Sanchez Martinez was the passenger in the vehicle when it was pulled over by Cottonwood officers. He provided a false name to the officers, however, they were able to identify him and took him into custody. Sanchez Martinez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center for the felony warrant and taking the identity of another, also a felony. A felony warrant was issued for Sanchez Martinez of Cottonwood after he failed to appear for sentencing for the charges of Aggravated Assault per Domestic Violence, Criminal Impersonation, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
