Free slash drop off in Sedona to prepare for wildfire season.

Sedona Fire officials encourage residents to prepare for wildfire season by cleaning-up around homes and evaluating their level of preparedness. Sedona is hosting three free drop off days where residents can drop off organic debris such as tree branches, leaves, and weeds on May 17th, 18th, and 19th at the Fire Station on Forest Road in Uptown. Officials say to use this time to create defensible space around homes and businesses and reduce the materials that can spread the fire around them. They also suggest creating an evacuation plan and reviewing home owners or renters insurance to ensure you have adequate coverage for property and belongings.
