Prescott man arrested for burglary.

Early Friday morning, Prescott Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Country Club Drive upon the report of a male subject pounding on the front door of a home and breaking glass. Lt. Corey Kasun says upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and located another residence which had a broken window and signs of forced entry. Officers searched the home, which was unoccupied at the time, and observed obvious signs of entry. Kasun says during the course of the investigation, officers received a second call from a resident on San Carlos Road, who observed a male subject at her front door, who appeared to be attempting to break into the home. At approximately 4:39 A.M., officers located a male subject matching the description. The subject attempted to evade officers on foot and entered the fence area of Sharlot Hall Museum. The suspect was located and taken into custody without further incident. Kasun says the suspect, 31-year old John Dammer, of Prescott, had evidence on his person linking him to the crimes. He was booked into Yavapai County Jail on burglary, criminal damage and criminal trespassing.
