A new trail system is being developed at the end of West Mingus Avenue in Cottonwood. Volunteers are needed to assist the Forest Service with trail creation. The Verde Valley Trail Volunteers group meets every Wednesday at 8:30 am in front of Office Max in the Safeway Shopping Plaza in Cottonwood. Participants should wear long sleeves and pants, boots and eye protection. Tools will be provided by the Forest Service.
