Prescott Valley Police K9 unit finds over 50 pounds of Meth during a traffic stop.

Thursday morning, two Prescott Valley Police K9 units conducted a traffic stop on I-17. Spokesman James Risinger says the officers contacted the driver, 26-year old Alberto Vasquez, and the passenger, 23-year old Patricio Quintero. Risinger says Vasquez consented to a vehicle search. The officers discovered various bundles of a white crystal-like substance. Both men were arrested and transported to the Prescott Valley Police Department. The vehicle was transported to the police department were officers conducted a complete search of the Suburban, finding 52 pounds of Methamphetamine. Both Vasquez and Quintero were booked into the Yavapai County Jail on multiple felony drug charges. The case is still under investigation.
