Arizona Unemployment Rate remains constant at 5.1%.

The Arizona Office of Economic Security reports the Arizona seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained constant at 5.1% in February in comparison with January. During that same period, the U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased two-tenths of a percentage point from 4.0% to 3.8%. Over the month, the state’s seasonally adjusted labor force increased by 7,601 individuals. Over the year, labor force levels increased by over 123,000. Overall, officials say Arizona gained over 30,000 nonfarm jobs in February, which is 20% higher than the historical 10-year average gain. The Government Sector recorded a gain of 11,700 jobs in February, which is slightly higher than that average. The Private Sector gained 18,500 jobs in February, which is 40% higher than the historical 10-year average gain.
