Rock falls increasing on Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon.

Sedona Fire officials say the conditions on Highway 89A North of Sedona require drivers to be vigilant and can vary throughout the day. In the morning water from melting snow is creating numerous icy spots. As temperatures warm, rock falls are increasing. Sedona Fire crews have been providing traffic control while ADOT has been removing massive boulders from the road. They say crews have also been assisting motorists whose vehicles have been damaged by running over or into rocks. Motorists driving through the Canyon are advised to be careful and maintain a good distance between the car in front.
