Burglar caught on neighbors surveillance cameras

Last week a man returned to his home near Prescott Valley and found it had been ransacked and several expensive items had been stolen. Taken was a TV, three watches and a large sum of cash. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the victim thought 22-year old Dillon Smith, someone he works with, might be the suspect.  A neighbor reported seeing a man going in and out of the victim’s house and on one occasion was carrying a TV. The neighbor also had surveillance video of the suspect and the vehicle. On February 11-th, a deputy spotted the vehicle and contact was made with the owner who indicated Smith had borrowed it on the day of the burglary. He also remembered Smith had a TV and a large sum of cash the day after the burglary. Smith confessed to the burglary and all but some of the money was recovered.
