Pedestrians struck in Prescott Crosswalk

Two pedestrians were struck as they were crossing in a crosswalk in Prescott Thursday morning. Lead Officer Dave Fuller says the accident occurred at the intersection of Gurley Street and Cortez Street. He says 23-year old Katherine Sibley of Prescott was northbound on Cortez when she made a left turn onto Gurley. At the same time as she was turning, 2-pedestrians were crossing Gurley in the crosswalk and with the light. Sibley hit both of them. Fuller says the pedestrians were taken to YRMC for injuries that included lacerations; one of them had a possible broken leg. Sibley was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
