During Tuesday’s storm, the Flagstaff Police Department responded to 6-non-injury collisions, 1-injury collision, and 2-disabled vehicles. DPS and Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 8-collisions. Officials say tips to help keep everyone safe on the roadway during winter weather conditions are to not follow other vehicles too closely and to brake and accelerate steadily and slowly, not rapidly or suddenly. Sudden actions can cause your vehicle to lose traction.
