Public ignoring trail closures on Bradshaw Ranger District

Prescott National Forest spokesperson Debbie Maneely says they’ve received multiple reports of forest visitors ignoring the “closure” signs and hiking/biking on closed trails within the White Spar Trailhead and associated trails on the Bradshaw Ranger District. Maneely says the area is closed to the public due to thinning operations in the area. She says the work requires the use of heavy equipment, which can be dangerous. The work will still take a few more months to complete and the public is asked to obey all closure signs. She says visitors can use the Copper Basin or Spence Basin trail systems as an alternative.
