Moving back into winter by the end of the week

The National Weather Service in Bellemont says beginning Thursday, northern Arizona will transition into a more active weather pattern. This will allow for a series of low pressure system to impact the area through at least early next week. The      first of these systems is forecast to move through the area from Thursday night into Friday. This isn’t a particularly cold system, with snow levels remaining at or above 7000-feet. The bulk of the precipitation is expected to fall along and south of the Mogollon Rim, with only light snowfall forecast. A second low pressure system, and associated cold front, is forecast to impact the area over the weekend. Current data suggests the second system may be more impactful than the first. Snow levels will likely rise ahead of the system, before dropping with the arrival of the front. In addition, the system may bring windy conditions. Confidence in the    snow levels and precipitation amounts remains relatively low at this point. Wet and unsettled weather may continue into the next work week.
