Missing Phoenix man spent the night in a vacant home after his ATV ran out of gas and he became lost

A Phoenix man told YCSO Search and Rescue that he became lost in the woods near Crown King while riding his ATV. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the search for 18-year old Jhon Ossa began Sunday night at 7 when family reported him overdue from his ride. Searchers located his ATV Monday morning and then shortly after YCSO Rescue-1 spotted Ossa and picked him up and flew him to safety. D’Evelyn says Ossa told rescue personnel he got lost and ran out of gas. He was able to find an unoccupied mobile home to stay in overnight and avoid the cold. He walked out at daybreak and was located by Rescue-1. Ossa was not carrying a cell phone.
