Cottonwood Vice Mayor Kyla Allen stepping down

The Cottonwood city council will have a vacancy following Tuesday night’s meeting. Vice Mayor Kyla Allen has announced that she will be stepping down. Allen says her husband’s health and the fact they’re moving outside of the city limits as reasons for stepping down. Allen was appointed to the council in 2016 and voted into the seat in 2018. A new Vice Mayor will be named Tuesday night and the council will have to decide how to fill the vacancy.
