15 fatalities due to crashes in 10 days in Arizona

According to ADOT, the state is off to a rough start in terms of fatal crashes. Since January 1-st there have already been 15-fatal crashes with 7 of those deaths occurring in the northern part of the state. Last Friday, 26-year old Shannon Smith of Prescott was killed when she was ejected from her vehicle during a rollover crash on Iron Springs Road. Saturday evening, 18-year old Javas Cody of Kayenta crossed the centerline of Highway-180 and hit another vehicle head-on. Cody, his passenger and 4-Colombian tourists in the second vehicle were killed. Motorists continue to be asked to slow down and use caution when driving.
