The Community Development Department of Camp Verde is holding a public workshop to gain public feedback into upcoming sign code changes. Spokesperson Carmen Howard says focus of the meeting is to provide clarity relating to the currently confusing sign code and to bring into compliance verbiage that doesn’t comply with the 2015 Supreme Court ruling, called Gilbert decision, which says codes cannot regulate signage based on content. Howard says the town also wants to hear from business owners who want to take advantage of limited access highway possibilities and hear what the community wants to see regarding signage and the future development of the town. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at the Camp Verde Community Library from 5:30-to-8:00 PM. Attendees are asked to RSVP by calling 928-554-00-50.
