DPS is remembering another fallen trooper today. On this day in 1978, 33-year old Noah or Mack Merrill was killed while on duty. Officials say Merrill was conducting a traffic stop on I-10, about 8-miles east of Benson, when he was struck and killed by a passing tractor-trailer. No other information was available.
