At a joint meeting on Monday, the Camp Verde and Montezuma-Rimrock fire boards have unanimously selected Brandi Bateman, Steve Darby, Carol Keeton, Justin Largent and Linda Welsch to be the first governing board of the Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District. Back in November, the Camp Verde and Montezuma-Rimrock fire boards voted unanimously to merge the two fire districts into one, creating the new District. The change will officially take place on January 2nd.
