DPS responds to 3-rollover accidents on 3-major highways in 6-hours

DPS responded to multiple single vehicle rollover accidents (this)Tuesday morning that blocked one lane of three major highways for over an hour each. Spokesman Quentin Mehr says the first occurred just before 3-a.m. on eastbound I-40, just east of Williams. A 25-year old male from Holbrook lost control of his vehicle causing it to roll onto its side. The driver and a passenger were both transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The second collision, at 7:30-am occurred on south bound I-17, near Black Canyon City. Mehr says a 78-year old female from NV., lost control of her vehicle and rolled over into the median. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. And another single vehicle collision occurred just after 9-am on southbound Highway 89A, outside of Jerome. The driver of a box truck, carrying food and soda, lost control of the vehicle which rolled onto its side. He was not injured.
