The Arizona Corporation Commission will host a stakeholder meeting on Monday to discuss the role of forest bioenergy in the state. During their monthly Open Meeting last week, Commissioners talked about the swift action needed to restore healthy forest conditions in Arizona while using forest biomass for renewable energy. Commissioners directed Utilities Division staff to work with industry and stakeholders to create a guiding policy on forest bioenergy. Monday’s meeting will be an open discussion among stakeholders only. No votes to be taken.
