The City of Cottonwood is expected to receive approximately $330,000 in Fiscal Year 2019 federal CDBG funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account and may also apply for $300,000 in funds from the State Special Projects account. The funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. A public hearing will be held at the regular City Council meeting at 6-pm, December 4-th in council chambers. Examples of how the money can be used include public infrastructure, community facilities, housing, public services or economic development.
