Kayenta man sentenced to 6 years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl on an overnight camping tour he was leading

A Kayenta man has been sentenced to 6-years in prison and 15-years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of a minor. The FBI says 42-year old Ronnie Haycock, a member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced this week. During the summer of 2017, Haycock worked as a tour guide in the Monument Valley area of the Navajo Nation. On the night of July 5-th, 2017, Haycock led an overnight camping tour in the area. While camped out that night, he sexually abused a juvenile female who was on the tour.
