Coconino County Public Health officials announced the first two cases of influenza this season have been confirmed in Coconino County. Health officials are strongly recommending that everyone 6 months old and over get a flu shot each year. Immunization reduces the chance of flu and flu-related complications, such as hospitalization or death. The immune system will be better prepared to combat the flu the earlier people get their shot.
