Cornville Road is currently closed to traffic do to a serious accident in the area known as the switchbacks. Verde Valley Fire Interim Chief Joe Moore says a tractor trailer crashed head on with a passenger vehicle. The road is currently closed from Tissaw Road to the bottom of the switch backs. Traffic is being rerouted through Page Springs Road to 89A or back to I-17 then onto Highway 260. Moore says he expects the road to be closed for a lengthy period of time.
