Verde Valley Fire responds for an injured motorcyclist

Sunday, Verde Valley Fire responded to Highway 89A and Wild Horse Lane for the report of a single motorcycle accident. Chief Nazih Hazime says crews arrived on scene and treated the 50-to-60 year old male patient for a head injury and other upper body related injuries. 89A was closed in both directions for approximately 30 minutes. The injured man was air lifted to FMC. Hazime says the cause of the accident is unknown and the rider was not wearing a helmet.  Verde Valley Fire District would like to remind all cyclists to wear helmets while riding.  It has been proven to prevent injuries and fatalities from accidents.
