Injured hiker rescued by helicopter off of Bell Rock

Sedona Fire rescued an injured hiker  from near the summit of Bell Rock late Sunday morning. The hiker, a Sedona resident, was hiking with friends when an accident occurred resulting in a compound fracture of his lower leg.  Fire Marshal Jon Davis says due to the rugged terrain and inaccessibility of the patient, two DPS helicopters were utilized during the rescue.
