Three killed and one still missing in boat crash on Lake Havasu

Game and Fish is encouraging boaters to wear their life jackets when on the water following last weekend’s boating accident in which three people were killed and several others seriously injured. Two boats collided head-on Saturday evening on Lake Havasu, sending 16-people into the water. Officials say both boats sank and no one on board either of the boats was wearing a life jacket. Three people drown and several others were injured. Every boat is required to have life jackets for each person on board including a throw able floatation device. Children 12 and under must always wear a life jacket. The Coast Guard reported that in 2017 there were 4,291 recreational boating accidents, involving 658-deaths nationwide.
