Third suspect in Verde Village kidnapping, robbery and stabbing arrested

The last of three suspects wanted in connection with last weeks robbery, kidnapping and stabbing incident in the Verde Villages has been captured. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says 18-year old Francis Schrambling was arrested Saturday in Clarkdale. He says Yavapai Apache Police took Schrambling into custody on a littering warrant and held him for deputies. He says during the course of the investigation, detectives documented Schrambling’s roll in the incident. It was determined Schrambling initially entered the home with the knowledge a robbery was going to be committed by his brother, 21-year old Gregory Hernandez and his brother’s friend, 37-year old Joshua Courtney. D’Evelyn says Schrambling also participated in the assault of the male victim that came to the initial victim’s aid. In the assault the victim was stabbed several times.
