Property line dispute leads to shooting in Ash Fork

Monday evening, YCSO deputies received a report that neighbors in the 5100 block of East Cook Trail, in Ash Fork, were shooting at each other. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says 56-year old Warren Porter Jr. reported that his neighbor was shooting at him and his vehicle, which prompted him to flee and call 911. He says contact was also made with Porter’s 62-year old female neighbor who claimed Porter fired at her and her vehicle as she drove onto her property and she shot back in self-defense. D’Evleyn says several bullet holes were found in Porter and the victim’s vehicle. He says Porter eventually admitted firing several rounds from a handgun, which was recovered and discovered to be stolen out of the Phoenix area. Porter was taken into custody on weapons charges. Both Porter and the victim have been involved in a property line dispute. No injuries were reported.

  1. Not even true he lied there was no property dispute!!! He harassed everyone and would try to block people from driving down the road claiming the don’t have permission when it’s not his property he also tries to run people off the road. This man is dangerous and made threats to the police that he was going to kill the neighbors family member.. but he is now out of jail. The justice system is messed up to allow a violent man back into society!!!
