Tonto National Forest is morning the loss of one of their hot shots. Officials say 29-year old Adam Olson, the Mesa Hotshot Squad Boss, died on August 21-st. Olson started work on the forest in 2009 as a firefighter. He worked on engines and went through the Apprentice Program. He was promoted to boss in the Mesa squad last year. Adam passed away unexpectedly while the crew was on days off from their most recent fire assignment. His exact cause of death was not released.
