Minerals Research, Inc. and Wesco, the companies processing the slag pile off South 6th street in Cottonwood, are advising residents that they will be conducting blasting activities this Thursday. Officials say though citizens may hear and feel the explosions, they should not be alarmed. They say the operations will be carefully monitored and controlled, and will have minimal impact to the immediate community.
