Prescott Valley Police DUI and seat belt enforcement

Prescott Valley Police will conduct their Labor Day Weekend DUI Traffic Enforcement Program Friday through Monday. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says extra officers will be employed to enhance traffic safety during this period. A multi-agency Command Post will also be set up at the west end of East 1st Street. The objective of the enforcement program is to reduce the number of car crashes and the resulting injuries and fatalities through increased, highly visible enforcement. Police will focus on occupant restraint, impaired driving, speeding and pedestrian safety. Ferguson says efforts will be focused along State Route 69, as this is one of the busiest corridors in the quad city area.
